0% Installation Issue

Please note that this article is for Windows Users ONLY.

This issue surrounds itself around your Cache. A Cache is a small, super-fast storage area where the computer keeps copies of the data and instructions it uses most often. By storing this frequently accessed information in the cache, the computer can access it much more quickly than if it had to retrieve it from the main memory.

To find out how to fix your TotalAV installation issue, follow the steps below:

Uninstall

TotalAV May or may not be partially installed already on your computer. To make sure it has been uninstalled fully, you can do this by typing in Add/Remove Programs to the Windows Search Bar. From here you find the TotalAV application. If you do not find TotalAV listed as an installed application, please move onto the next step.

Restart PC in Safe Mode:

  • Press Windows Logo key + I on your keyboard to open Settings. If that doesn't work, select the Start button, then select Settings.
  • Select Update & Security > Recovery.
  • Under Advanced startup > select Restart now.
  • After your PC restarts to the Choose an Option screen, select Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings > Restart.
  • After your PC restarts, you'll see a list of options. Select 4 or press F4 to start your PC in Safe Mode. Or if you'll need to use the internet, select 5 or press F5 for Safe Mode with Networking.

  • The next step is for Advanced Tech Users Only. Please proceed with caution and only delete files associated with Security Service & TotalAV.

    Open Registry Editor

  • Run Command (Windows Icon + R) and then type regedit.
  • Once Registry Editor opens, Click on Edit > Find.
  • Make sure to tick mark Match Whole Strings Only.
